PNG → JPG Converter
Convert PNG to high-quality JPEG in your browser — private, instant, and free.
Quality: 90%
Tip: Use a white background for typical photos. Choose a darker background if you want filled black edges instead of white.
How to use — Quick Q & A (5 to 10 questions)
- How do I convert? Click “Choose file”, pick a PNG, choose quality & background, then press “Convert to JPG”. A preview and download link appear.
- Will transparency be preserved? JPEG doesn’t support transparency. Transparent pixels are filled with the background color you choose.
- Which quality should I use? 80–95% gives a good trade-off between quality and size. Lower values reduce file size more.
- Can I convert multiple files? This simple page handles one file at a time. You can reopen the page for each image or I can add batch conversion if needed.
- Are images uploaded to a server? No — conversion runs in your browser. Files are never uploaded to any server.
- What formats are supported? Although labeled PNG→JPG, the tool accepts any image-type input; it forces output to JPEG format.
- Why choose background color? When converting transparent PNGs, you pick the color that replaces transparency (white by default).
- Can I change filename? Yes — select append or replace in “Filename option” before converting.
- Does it work on mobile? Yes — modern mobile browsers support canvas and the clipboard/download APIs used here.
- What if conversion fails? Try lowering quality or resizing the image before conversion — large images may cause memory issues in older browsers.
